Anonymous asked: what does that tattoo mean? why did you get it?
It is from the I-Ching Chinese Book of Changes. The top 3 lines represent water, the bottom 3 fire. It represents need for balance, i.e. if the fire got too hot the water would boil over and put the fire out.
It is also the tattoo that one of my favorite GI Joe characters, the ninja Stormshadow, has on his arm, so there is a nerd aspect to it as well.
I got it because I had made it through a nasty breakup with my fiance, and I finally felt strong again.
